GRWM: College Recruiting Edition

GET READY WITH ME: Get ready for your main recruiting season by checking off these To Dos to set yourself up for meaningful exposure

Getting exposure is about way more than what happens during competition. If you perform in front of no one, no one will know how amazing you are!

Exposure comes in all shapes and sizes, and as recruits, we cannot rely on college coaches sitting at our field as the only way we get in front of them. With hard work, preparation, and authentic intentions OFF THE FIELD, you will be able to get in front of coaches in a meaningful way.

So here’s your recruiting season GRWM to set yourself up for meaningful exposure:

✔️ Take inventory on if you are READY for exposure. Answer the question: Are you ready to be seen by the schools you are interested in?

✔️ Schedule recruiting work every week. Mark it down on your calendar. 15 minutes a week for May, as you wrap up your HS softball season and school year. Make it at least an hour a week for the months of June-August.

✔️ Clean up or start your socials

✔️ Build a comprehensive college list

✔️ Find coach contacts

✔️ Create your introduction email templates

✔️ Organize your tournament and camps schedule

✔️ Select an accountability partner to make sure you’re doing it (friend, teammate, parent, coach, mentor)

Remember that there is no substitute for hard work. Do what it takes off the field just like you do on the field, and you’ll be on your way to creating the future you want.
